German Christmas Songfest

When: December 1 at 3 p.m.

Where: St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola Road, Frankenmuth, MI, 48734

All are welcome to join in singing many favorite German carols and hearing German Bible readings of Advent and Christmas. This 27th annual one-hour “Weihnachts-Singfest” is organized by the Frankenmuth German Club and is hosted by St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  About 200 residents and guests attend each year. A free-will offering will be gathered. After the Songfest, a tour of the church, log cabin, and museum will be available. The congregation was begun by Franconian immigrants in 1845 as a mission colony in the forest primeval, to share the gospel with Michigan’s Native Americans.

Matinee Dinner Show – Penny Gilley’s “A Country Christmas”

Pretzel Rolling at Bavarian Inn

Learn how to create piping hot pretzels just like the Bavarian Inn makes them. Bakers will walk you through the correct pretzel rolling techniques, then it’s your turn to give it a try! Perfect for families to experience together.

Frankenmuth Holiday Home Tour

When: December 7 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Where: Locations all around Frankenmuth.

Cost: $20 in advance

The Frankenmuth Women’s Club will host its annual Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 7. Four Frankenmuth area homes and Frankenmuth United Methodist Church will be decked out in Christmas finery for visitors to enjoy. Various home periods and architectural styles are featured. This year a light lunch is included at the church with ticket booklet purchase. Enter to win a door prize at each home. Also try your luck! Purchase a ticket to win a prize of your choice donated by various local businesses for the Red Door Raffle.

Holiday Wine Dinner

Zehnder’s Snowfest has been host to one of the top snow sculpting events in North America for the past 28 years. Visitors have enjoyed larger-than-life snow sculptures and beautifully detailed ice carvings each year.

Zehnder’s Snowfest 2020 will again dazzle and excite you with snow and ice sculptures created by professional ice and snow carvers from around the world.

Zehnder’s Snowfest is also host to the National Collegiate Ice Carving Championship and the High School Snow Sculpting Competition.
