I scream, you scream, we all scream for that Bavarian Inn Ice Cream!
After you finish indulging in our all you can eat World Famous Chicken Dinner, we top off your unique Bavarian Inn experience with a dish of ice cream.
What is so special about a scoop of ice cream you may ask? Well… although our ice cream is delicious, it is what we place in each scoop that has our guests smiling.
Our Bavarian Inn “Boy & Girl” pick that go in each guest’s ice cream dish has become a collectible from one’s dining experience with us.
This tradition started back in the 1960s, where we used an assortment of little plastic animals to put on top of our ice cream. Then, sometime in the 1970s, the HR Manager at the time, Rhea Bartels, designed the new boy & girl picks to be unique to our Bavarian Inn branding and match our corporate logo.
The Bavarian Inn corporate logo is one that Tiny (William Zehnder) designed to have a Bavarian themed boy and girl dancing around the diamond Bavarian flag.
You would be amazed at how many of those boy and girl picks have been collected & taken home! Some of our guests take them home and glue a magnet to the back to put on their refrigerator as a memento.
