Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm   (1-2 weekends per month to accommodate business needs during festivals, holidays, etc.)

Manage the purchase, sale and display of each magical item within the Doll & Toy Shop specifically. What You’ll Do:

  • Source, purchase, price, and display product based on market specific seasonality, sales trends, and opportunities for growth
  • Unbox and inspect received products, label/price items for sale, and organize stock area as needed
  • Creatively display merchandise in an innovative, attractive, and distinctive manner to promote sales and profit
  • Review product trends, historical sales data, and competitive set data to create informed product strategies
  • Efficiently track inventory, sales, and other areas related to the financial status and growth of the shop
  • Assist with the creation and execution of guest experience activities and manage calendar of events for Doll & Toy Shop (Active role in “Princess Luncheon” events, Easter baskets, Christmas Stockings, and similarly themed events focused on our youngest guests and families)
  • Attend trade shows, visit factories and showrooms, as business dictates
  • Support retail clerks as needed with guest needs including product recommendations, operating cash register, tidying of the shop, stocking, etc.

What You Need:

  • Friendly, cheerful, and enthusiastic demeanor
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to proactively notice patterns in data and turn them into valuable insights and practical actions
  • Affinity for or experience with toys, dolls, gifts, and other items marketed towards children
  • Ability to maintain hospitable & professional relationships with guests, vendors, other team members and the community in general, while projecting a professional image through in-person, electronic, and telephone interactions


Education & Experience Preferred:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Merchandising/Buying, Marketing or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in merchandising (buying), retail product management, eCommerce (Internet), department/business management, or other relevant area of study
