Full Time + Benefits or Part Time Options  |  Wage based on skillset and experience (starting at $14-$15 per hour) |
Shift Examples: 10am-6pm; 11am-7pm; 12pm-9pm; 3pm-Close

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Shift Supervisor to oversee our Dish Team operations here at Bavarian Inn Restaurant, serving up to 4,000 guests per day. With volumes like that, we process A LOT of dishes! Our supervisors mentor and coach each of our team members in a hands-on approach working side-by-side on the dish machine.

Responsibilities & Job Tasks:

  • Responsible for the operation of the dish machines and productivity of dish team members by performing and training team members in the following tasks: safely sorting, stacking, and cleaning of dirty dishes, pots and pans, glassware, silverware, and returning sanitized items to their proper locations
  • Delegate tasks to dish team members and supervise their performance while ensuring compliance with safety & sanitation regulations
  • Monitor, document, and communicate attendance, policy, or standard violations as they arise
  • Help team members resolve on-the-job challenges
  • Open or close the dish team area to correct standard (when responsible for the first or last shift)
  • Inform the next Shift Supervisor about pending tasks and challenges
  • Report maintenance and training needs
  • Active role in delivering performance and training evaluations
  • Oversee the operation and profitability of dish area with an ultimate focus on exceeding guest expectations through quality service, facilities and product

Basic Skills & Requirements:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull weights up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand/walk for duration of shift (8+ hours)
  • Proven experience as a team leader/supervisor or relevant role in a restaurant
  • Positive and engaging leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge of basic restaurant operations

Days and Shifts Scheduled?

  • Required Availability: Saturdays, Sundays, & Holidays minimum availability
  • Shift Examples: variety of 10am-6pm; 11am-7pm; 12pm-9pm; 3pm-Close (closing team usually leaves somewhere between 10pm & midnight)
