Frankenmuth is filled with unique restaurants, bakeries, and sweet shops, but one dish stands above the rest: chicken dinners. At Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Restaurant, guests can enjoy the World Famous all-you-care-to-eat Chicken Dinner, a tradition celebrated by generations of Frankenmuth visitors.

The Family-Style meals, what Bavarian Inn Restaurant is most known for, are a progressive-plated course meal. The first course includes two types of freshly baked bread: stollen (homemade fruit and nut bread) and backofenbrot (homemade white bread). This leads to the second course of soup and salad, which includes noodle soup, coleslaw, pasta salad, cranberry relish, and a Michigan seasonal salad. Next, the main entrée, our famous all-you-care-to-eat Frankenmuth Chicken, is served. The main course is accompanied by Michigan Russet Mashed potatoes and gravy, buttered noodles, vegetable du jour, and baked dressing. Ending the meal on a sweet note, our Bavarian Inn team will serve guests with our delicious Bavarian Inn housemade ice cream

While Bavarian Inn Restaurant is famously known for their Family Style Meals, there are a multitude of other standout menu items on the menu! The Frankenmuth Chicken Plate, a smaller portion of the all-you-care-to-eat chicken dinner, includes our famous Frankenmuth Chicken that is lightly flavored with our own blend of seasonings, along with mashed potatoes, gravy, and baked dressing. Also on the menu at Bavarian Inn Restaurant is Chicken Cordon Bleu, which is Gruyere cheese-stuffed chicken and smoked pork loin, topped with white wine sauce, and served with potato cheese puffs. Potato Cheese Puffs, or as we like to call them Kartoffelkäseknödel, are a guest favorite and consist of seasoned mashed potatoes and cheese that are lightly breaded and fried.

Beyond Chicken, Bavarian Inn also offers a number of German Dinners. Some of these include the Bavarian, which includes Kasseler Rippchen (smoked pork loin), Schnitzel (breaded loin of pork), and Sauerbraten (marinated roast beef).  Another German-inspired menu item goes by the name of Frankenmuth, which is a medley of Bavarian Inn favorites, including Famous Frankenmuth Chicken (white or dark meat), Schnitzel (breaded loin of pork), and Sauerbraten (marinated roast beef).
