Leaves are falling….Scarecrow Fest is calling!
Frankenmuth is gorgeous here during the Fall season- which is why we wanted to create an event so that everyone could come see for themselves!
Scarecrow Fest has been a Frankenmuth Fall Tradition here for generations and was started by the Bavarian Inn Zehnder Family. With over 5,000 guests coming out to this festival, we are excited to continue to create enjoyable experiences this season!
This is a two-weekend series event: one catered toward your furry friend (Dog Weekend) and the other toward your family (Kids Weekend).
The best part about this event is that it is FREE to attend! Check out all the activities going on for these two weekends:
Both Weekend Activities 12-6 p.m.
- Pumpkin Catapult (a small fee applies)
- Pumpkin Bowling (a small fee applies)
- Pumpkin Painting(a small fee applies)
- Arts & Crafts
- Barrel Train Rides (a small fee applies)

- Rock N Roll K9s Show (11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.)

One of the coolest activities that you and your kiddos can do is our Pumpkin Catapult. As far as we know, we are the only place that lets you pick out your pumpkin and YOU get to launch it! All the pumpkins are fired off into our 1962 “Bavarian Farms” Dump Truck and when it hits the truck, you hear a “DING!” sound for all to hear. We have launched over 7,000 pumpkins so far!
To make the event even bigger, the Bavarian Inn Zehnders (Bill & Karen) decided to give their idea of a scarecrow contest to the Frankenmuth Chamber to get the community involved in the event! Businesses, who wanted to participate in the fun, create their own scarecrow to have the public view and vote for their favorite displays. You decide who has the best-looking scarecrow in town!
So there you have it, your reasons to come check out Scarecrow Fest this year. We can’t wait to see you all- Happy Fall!
